Connect your helmet
Turn on the helmet and keep it close to this phone. Then choose “Connect helmet” and pick the device whose name starts with OWSH.
The helmet assists your white cane or guide dog. It never replaces them.
Bluetooth is not available in this browser
Pairing with the helmet
The helmet only accepts phones that are paired with it. The first time you connect, your phone shows a pairing request. Accept it; no code is needed.
A new phone can pair while no phone is paired with the helmet, or within 2 minutes after the helmet is turned on.
If connection is refused, restart the helmet and connect within 2 minutes.
The demo helmet simulates alerts, status and an emergency so you can learn the app without hardware.
Connection tips
- Turn Bluetooth on. Android may also need Location turned on to find nearby devices.
- Only one phone can be connected to the helmet at a time.
- If the connection drops, the app keeps trying to reconnect while it is open.
- Keep this app open and the screen on. Phones pause web apps when the screen turns off.
